The compass is designed to do its work in your browser. It does not need an account, and application code does not send your compass heading or coordinates to us.

Compass Readings
When you enable the compass, the browser may provide device orientation values. The page uses those values in memory to rotate the dial and show a heading.
The application does not save those readings in local storage, a database, or an application log. They disappear when the tab is closed or refreshed.
Optional Location
Location stays off while you use the magnetic compass. It is requested only when you select Show Coordinates.
Latitude, longitude, and browser-reported accuracy are shown in the current tab. Application code does not store or transmit them.
Permissions
Your browser and operating system control Motion & Orientation and Location permissions. You can revoke them through the site's permission settings at any time.
Online Compass cannot bypass a denied permission or enable hardware your device does not contain.
Hosting Data
Like most websites, the hosting provider may receive standard request information needed to deliver and secure the page, such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser user agent, and network diagnostics.
This policy must be updated with the chosen host's retention details before production launch. No advertising, analytics, or third-party map script is included in the MVP.
Your Choices
You can read the guide and compatibility information without granting any permission. You can use the compass without granting location. You can close the tab to end the current session.
